Our Executive Director
Our Executive Director is Lillias Bovell (B.Sc. M.A.I.C.D), one of Australia’s leading environmental professionals and a past President of the Waste Management Association of Australia.
As a former elected member of Local Government, Lillias has an extensive understanding of State and Commonwealth Government having worked with all levels of Government in policy development, advocacy, dispute resolution and regulatory roles.

Lillias is an effective communicator and accomplished public speaker and often presents at national and international conferences. Lillias has also been a guest lecturer at Bordeaux University in France.
Prior to her appointment as the Executive Director of PNEB in 2008, she successfully ran her own environmental consultancy advising the industrial, bio-security, quarantine and bio-hazardous waste sectors.
Lillias has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, qualifications in Medical Laboratory Technology and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
